              Horn in the Jazz Ensemble

We can play jazz with any instrument!

The  Jazz Ensemble Alum-Balance was released in 2014  and  Adam Unsworth is professor of horn at the the university of Michigan in Ann Arbor. I am impressed that his interpretation really well -balanced in this album.

Performers
John Vanore, trumpet
Adam Unsworth, French Horn
Bob Malach, tenor sax
Bill Mays, piano
Mike Richmond, bass
Danny Gottlieb, drums

French horns are usually rarely seen in jazz, but as a French horn player, we  should think about music in style and professionalism. How to accumulate majors in various fields in the rapidly changing society? I believe that continuous self-breakthrough and cross-domain innovative learning are inevitable. Then what we have to do is learn to use the instrument we can control most, learn the language of jazz, and enter the jazz mode of play.

Today, jazz music is still thriving, and it has never stagnated. Like the free and liberating spirit of this kind of music itself, jazz musicians constantly explore more three-dimensional thinking spaces and evolve a more colorful face of jazz. It can also say that jazz has the most prosperous types and forms among all popular music forms. More importantly, it is also the most inclusive and introspective music style! Unlike other music styles, the spirit conveyed by jazz from beginning to end is the exploration of personal value. It also has a more metaphysical connotation: the eternal pursuit of individual freedom, which is the most exciting moment of Jazz music.
